Gerson Therapy

Gerson Therapy is a comprehensive nutritional and detoxification program developed by Dr. Max Gerson. It combines a specialized diet, freshly prepared fruit and vegetable juices, individually selected nutrients, and supportive procedures designed to promote the body’s natural regenerative and detoxification processes.

The approach views nutrition, metabolism, and overall health as closely interconnected. In our outpatient clinic, the individual components of the program are tailored to each patient’s condition, specific needs, and broader treatment plan.

Nutritional Program

Nutrition is at the core of Gerson Therapy. The program focuses primarily on fresh fruits and vegetables, plant-based foods, and minimally processed ingredients, with particular attention to food quality and preparation.

The aim is to provide a broad range of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, and antioxidants while minimizing highly processed foods.

The dietary plan is adapted to the individual patient and may be integrated with other elements of a broader integrative treatment program.

Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Juices

A key feature of Gerson Therapy is the regular intake of freshly prepared fruit and vegetable juices.

Different combinations of fresh produce may be used to provide concentrated sources of naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and plant compounds.

The juices form part of the overall nutritional program and are selected according to the patient’s individual needs and treatment plan.

Vitamins, Minerals, and Nutritional Support

The program may also include vitamins, minerals, trace elements, and other nutritional supplements, selected according to the individual needs of the patient.

The goal is to support nutritional balance and normal metabolic function.

Where appropriate, this may be combined with orthomolecular medicine, infusion therapy, or other nutritional protocols.

Coffee Enemas

Coffee enemas are a characteristic component of the traditional Gerson protocol and have historically been included as part of its detoxification program.

In our practice, they are considered only within a broader, individualized treatment plan and are used according to the patient’s condition, tolerance, and specific needs.

They are not used as a stand-alone treatment, but rather as one possible component of a comprehensive program that may also include nutrition, juices, nutritional support, and other integrative therapies.

Supporting the Body’s Detoxification Processes

Gerson Therapy places particular emphasis on supporting the body’s natural mechanisms for processing and eliminating metabolic waste and other unwanted substances.

The nutritional program, juices, micronutrient support, and other elements are combined with this objective in mind.

Treatment is introduced gradually and adjusted according to the patient’s condition and individual response.

How the Program Is Structured in Our Clinic

The program begins with an individual medical consultation and a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s condition.

Based on the patient’s needs, we determine which elements of Gerson Therapy may be appropriate and how they can be incorporated into the overall treatment plan.

The program may include:

  • an individualized nutritional plan;
  • freshly prepared fruit and vegetable juices;
  • selected vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients;
  • coffee enemas;
  • orthomolecular and infusion-based therapies;
  • additional integrative and regenerative treatments.

The duration and intensity of the program are determined individually.

Combination with Other Integrative Therapies

Gerson Therapy may form part of a broader integrative, regenerative, and biological medicine program.

Depending on the individual treatment plan, it may be combined with:

ozone therapy, infusion therapy, orthomolecular therapy, chelation therapy, acupuncture, neural therapy, and other treatments offered in our clinic.

The aim is to select and combine therapies according to the patient’s individual condition and needs, rather than applying the same protocol to every patient.

Individualized Care

Every patient has different needs, lifestyle factors, and health considerations. For this reason, the Gerson program in our clinic is always individually tailored, and its components may be adapted or combined with other therapeutic approaches as appropriate.
